Dr. Alijanian began his dental education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1994. After earning his Doctor of Dental Science degree, he completed a one-year postgraduate training program, enhancing his dental knowledge. He then undertook a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Alameda Health System Highland General Hospital.
Dr. Alijanian is a board-certified oral surgeon and a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has received several accolades. He actively participates in various professional organizations, including serving as the former president of the Contra Costa Dental Society and the Sadi Fontaine Academy.

In 2008, we launched our first charity lecture for the California Dental Association Foundation to raise funds for their flagship programs, CDA Cares and the Student Loan Repayment grant. Attendees were invited to donate any amount, with Dr. Alijanian matching each contribution, in exchange for the opportunity to earn CE units and hear from him on various topics, including his expertise in the All-on-4® Treatment and hard and soft tissue management.
The event was a success, raising several thousand dollars to support the foundation’s mission and helping underserved communities and dental students work hard to achieve their dreams.
